How to calibrate genie joystick for genie boom lifts and scissor lifts?
For the Genie Models: Z45/25ic, S40, S45, S60, S65, Z60,S80, S-85 joystick calibration
Note: The joystick must be calibrated before the threshold, max-out or ramping can be set.
Note: Perform this procedure with the engine off.
- Make sure the engine is off before Calibrate a Joystick.
- Open the platform control box.
- Pull out the red Emergency Stop button to the on position at both the ground and platform controls.
- Turn the key switch to platform control. Do not turn on the engine.
- Choose a joystick to calibrate.
- Disconnect the wire harness connector from the joystick around 10 seconds or until the alarm sounds. Connect the wire harness connector to the joystick.
- Move the joystick full stroke in either direction and keep it for 5 seconds.
- Return the joystick to the neutral position, pause for a moment, then move the joystick full stroke in the opposite direction. Hold for 5 seconds. If the alarm sound indicating successful joystick calibration, if there is no sound, check the electrical connections or replace the joystick.
- Repeat this procedure for each joystick
